Originally from Portland, OR, I've been moving homes since I was 16. From Oregon to Minnesota to British Columbia (with a brief stint in Ireland), finding new homes has made me addicted to trying new things and seeing new places. On the occasion that I do stick to a routine, it usually involves hiking or watching 90s TV shows.
Most of my friends would categorize me as: relentlessly sarcastic, a hopeless cook, and amazing dancer (ok, I just hope they would call me this). I will always and forever be in love with writing, Jesus, my family, and peanut butter.
What is this blog about?
When it came to this blog, I did what every successful blog tells you not to do.
I started with no set direction. My experimental personality led me down lots of different paths and passions that I did love but didn't want to be pigeon-holed by. I didn't want to write just for other writers, or just for other hikers, or just other diabetics (this makes sense because I'm a diabetic). It was meant to just let myself breathe a little bit.
So that's what you'll get here—a little bit of everything. The things I can guarantee are probably a lot of reflections, Jesus talks, and some critique about pop culture.
After hours, I'm a copywriter for a digital marketing agency just outside Vancouver, BC, but when I'm not getting paid to write, I'm writing for local businesses, creating poetry, and helping friends with their magazines.
